Little baby Charlotte has been a miracle from the beginning. Because who gets pregnant on the first try? She was ready to be here. As most everyone knows, Kristin is my life twin. I have watched her be the best wife and mother I one day hope to be. From satisfying, yet keeping it rational, for all of Jessica’s cravings to hating life in the cold on a mountain but never letting Jessica have to work too hard to making a baby burrito on a true parent sleep schedule.
We were planning maternity pictures for a while. Since both of us were hard on adulting, me taking care of the child that is my career and Kristin’s IRL tiny human, we finally managed to find the one weekend we would all have time to do maternity pictures. Jessica wanted snow. It was a long weekend! Perfect time for a trip to Mt Charleston! Wrong. It was more packed than any of us had ever seen it. After stressing about low gas lights coming on, where the *bleep* we were going to be able to park, and literally stepping in what we hope for Kristin was dog poop, we decided to call the snow a bust and go back to town. On top of all of this which Kristin had officially gone full mom
mode and was stressing everyone about poppin’ out this baby on the mountain. I was lucky in that I got to know the name of this sweet peanut, being sworn to secrecy until the announcement. No worries! I was going to be behind due to my rapidly approaching date, so pictures would be late and I wouldn’t mess up posting until I get the clear.
And then, a short 11 days later, I woke up to pictures of the most beautiful baby girl. Charlotte has made her grand entrance. I was lucky enough to live down the street from the hospital they ended up at, and I got to snag some of the freahest shots. Including a lamb hat that Grandma made simply in the drive over to the hospital. With Charlotte making her grand entrnace, I am now free to post all of the perfect this little family is.
Charlotte Isabella, welcome to the family. You are already so fiercely loved. I cannot wait for all the adorable pictures your mothers have no choice in me bombarding you with. Approx 5eva.
Kristin and Jessica, congratulations. You’re going to be incredible mothers. I can’t wait to capture all your moments.
