One of the last things you plan on doing on a Sunday morning, is wake up at 7:30 in the morning to trek out for a shoot. However, even though your body insists that it is still sleepy time, you get up and load up for it anyways. Now normally I don't need to get up that early for Sunday shoots, but the first place we were heading to was a bit of a drive and in order to get the best light, we just had to suck it up and deal with it. Maddie and I got our J in the B breakfast before we hit the road, me and my handy assistant. I had to let Ashlynn know we were running a little behind schedule, due to the fact that the gas station had the slowest gas pumps known to man, but we would be out there as soon as possible. We got there right on time though and were able to sit and hang out while we waited for Ashlynn to arrive. Mind you, I've never seen what she drives so each car that passed was questioned on if it was speeding by because it wasn't her, or if she was going to miss the place. She showed up
shortly after we did, we got the normal rattlesnake warning and don't fall in the cactus unless you want to immediately regret all your life decisions talk before we headed out. Ashlynn was a doll. We were cracking jokes and laughing the whole time we shot. She was a natural, and certainly made my job easier than she should have. It was a great shoot, quite a bit of driving, a good amount of bugs and thorny bushes, but just the right amount of excellent photographer to model sass. A few outfit changes, a couple location switches, and one high school senior ready to take on life after graduation later, we got some kick ass shots and a shoot that I couldn't be more happy with. With the end so close you can almost taste it, here are some of my favorites from this senior portrait session. Thank you, Ashlynn, for being such a great model and for making a weekend morning shoot so worth waking up for. Enjoy.
